Beginners’ Family History Courses

You don’t have to be a member of the Society to participate and the courses, run by experienced volunteers, take place at our research room in Meltham.  Our courses are held on either Thursday mornings or Thursday evenings.  All courses run for six weeks, either from 9.45 am to 11.45 pm or 18.45 pm to 20.45 pm. The cost of the six-week course is £40 and this includes an Ancestral Notebook in which to record your findings. 

Dates for Spring 2025 have now been confirmed and we are happy to take names immediately.  Payment will not be taken until a few weeks before the start of each course.

The first course starts on Thursday mornings from 6 February through to 13 March for six weeks.  The second course starts on Thursday evenings from 27 March for six weeks through to 8 May (excluding 24 April which is in Easter week).
