The HDFHS Journal
One of the main benefits of membership of our Society is the quarterly journal which you will receive through the post if you are an individual, family or overseas member and is available through the website if you choose electronic membership. It is full of interesting articles produced mainly by members of the society, as well as by the editor and other committee members. Our aim in the journal is to cover the family, social and local history of our forebears, as well as useful information to aid you in your research. The journal lists details of events we are planning to hold, both in person and via Zoom, as well as giving you everything you need to know about how to contact the correct person if you need help and advice.
If you have an article you would like to submit remember that the editor needs to receive it about six weeks before the next edition is published. The preferred format is Microsoft Word with a file ending in .doc or .docx. Please do not send articles in Word versions which are pre-1997. Please send relevant photographs as separate attachments. You may also send handwritten articles which are clearly written and sent to: Journal Editor, The Root Cellar, 33A Greens End Road, Meltham, Holmfirth, HD9 5NW.
