Renew Your Membership
Current membership costs are as follows:
Student Membership… £6.00 per year. For an individual aged 16-25 years and in full-time education, either in the UK or overseas. Quarterly journal available through email and on the website
Electronic Membership….£12.00 per year. For an individual resident in the UK or overseas. Quarterly journal available through email and on the website.
Standard Membership… £15.00 per year . For up to two people at the same address in the UK. If you are not UK resident, please use electronic or overseas membership. Includes mail delivery of the printed quarterly Journal.
Overseas (Airmail)… £25.00 per year . For an individual resident outside the UK. Includes airmail delivery of printed quarterly Journal.
Membership renewal is a simple process and can be done in a variety of ways. Our preferred way, as it places least demand on Society time and resources, is an online renewal. Instructions for online renewal are given lower down on this page. However, if you don’t wish to renew online, you can pay by BACS bank transfer (bank details on the right) or by cheque. For both of these methods, please use your membership number as a reference so that the payment can be linked to your membership. Alternatively, you can visit our Root Cellar resource centre (HD9 5NW) and make your payment by card, cash or cheque. Finally, if you pay by Standing Order please ensure that this is directed to our correct bank account, details on the right, with the correct membership fee from the category of your choice . Again, please use your membership number as the payment reference.

ONLINE PROCESS FOR EXISTING MEMBERS
YOU NEED TO LOG IN TO THE WEBSITE FIRST
Online renewal of an existing membership, keeping the same membership type at the same price, is a simple process. Your new membership period will be an additional twelve months from the current membership expiry date.
First of all, ensure that you are logged in to the website. If you have forgotten your login password, follow the guidance in the box to the right.
Next, press the Membership Renewal button on the right. This will take you, in a separate tab, to your account page and you click on ‘Renew’ to the right of your current active membership, signified by ‘Yes‘ in the ACTIVE column.
You will then be taken to the payment page for your current category of membership where your personal details will be filled in. The default payment method is by credit card. If you want to use Paypal, click once on the Paypal button AND THEN, scroll to the bottom of the form and click on the button saying ‘Sign Up’. You should then be through to the payment screen of your choice.
HDFHS WEBSITE – GETTING A NEW PASSWORD
Go to the Login screen on the website and click on the text where it says ‘Forgot Password’
It will ask you for your email address – use the one that you regularly use with the Society
It will also give you a simple arithmetic question to check that you are not a robot
It will then send you an email where you can choose a new password. If the email doesn’t come fairly quickly, check your Spam/JunK folder
Then, log in with your email address as your username and your new password.
