Talks At The Fair
One of the attractions at the HDFHS Annual Fair is a selection of interesting talks. The subjects are drawn from family history and historical topics, the latter providing insights in to the life and times of the ancestors that we work to identify, putting flesh on to the bones.
This year there will be three speakers to entertain you. Tickets, up to the seating capacity of the room, will be available upon your entry to the Fair. The topics and presenters are shown below. When you arrive at the Fair Reception Desk, ask for a ticket to the talk(s) of interest to you.
‘A most Gross and Groundless Prosecution: the Denby Witchcraft Case of 1674’ presented by David Hinchliffe – at 10.30 am
‘A Selection of Huddersfield Archival Films’ presented by Trevor Spencer of the Huddersfield Film Makers’ Club – at 12 noon
‘Georgian Silver’ presented by Dr David Allen and showing pieces from his extensive collection – at 1.30 pm
