Emily Frances Siddon was "a self-contained lady of great strength of will, logical mind and administrative ability", "a born leader". She was a member of the Huddersfield Board of Guardians and a strong advocate for women's suffrage. A truly remarkable woman.
This book has been produced by the Honley Civic Society to commemorate the centenary of her death in 1923.
