Advancing your Family History Research using Ancestry DNA

November 30 at 7:30 pm - 9:00 pm

Following on from Graham Farmer’s talk in July, Jane Hough will be looking at how to use your Ancestry DNA matches to help advance your family history research.  Her talk will be based around clustering, creating research trees and some of the tools available on the DNAPainter website.  These were the techniques she used to establish the identity of her great-great grandfather – a mystery that had puzzled her family for forty years.

Jane has been a keen family historian for fifteen years.  Her father’s paternal ancestors hail from Huddersfield and the surrounding area.
